ABOUT JODY JACOB
Jody Jacob is a communications specialist with the unique ability to tell a good story.
With more than 15 years of experience in the public relations industry as a writer, marketer, media relations and communications strategist, she knows how to emotionally engage audiences through her story-telling talent, while remaining on target and on brand. For six years Jacob worked as a communications coordinator for UBC's Public Affairs department, where she was responsible for raising the profile of the university.
From planning press conferences, talking points and writing news releases to social media management and developing/implementing detailed communications strategies for high-profile clients and events, Jacob is a polished and versatile communicator who can expertly manage both prepared and responsive messaging to multiple audiences while practicing diplomacy, meeting deadlines, ensuring accuracy and multi-tasking. In 2017 she self-published a children's book called the Man & the Bear.
Jacob has worked for a wide range of clients in a variety of areas: small business, politics, industry, education, science, environment, agriculture, tourism, the social sector and everything in between.
